Greetings everyone!
Today was good. The kids had fun making a fort in the livingroom. Sam spilled about a quart of pink lemonade on the diningroom floor (thank goodness it's no longer carpeted!) And he spilled a cup of sugar on the kitchen floor. He was busy. I still have to mop when I'm done with this post. I'm not sure if I'll go to church tomorrow because Tommy and Rusty both have a runny nose that is running like a river every two seconds. It's always something!

Hello People...
"If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it will always be yours. If it doesn't come back, it was never yours to begin with. But, if it just sits in your livingroom, messes up your stuff, eats your food, uses your telephone, takes your money and doesn't appear to realize that you had set it free...you either married it or gave birth to it."
"My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely."
"The best way to forget all your troubles is to wear tight shoes."

I just had to post these... they are so funny
1. I give my kids toys to good will when they are at school to avoid them knowing the toys are going bye-bye.
2. I scrawl their names on their homework when they forget (to save time).
3. I eat doritos or funyuns after the kids go to bed so I won't have to share.
4. The smaller kids can't tell time yet, so bedtime sometimes comes a little early so I can have some me time.
5. I eat a bowl of cereal, then I refill it for a child, then I refill it again for another child...saves on dishes.
6. I eat the best candybars from their halloween candy when they are at school.
7. If my kids develop an obsession with a certain clothing item, it mysteriously disappears.
8. When Daddy isn't home, we eat cereal or leftovers for dinner.
9. When I see the kids trying to get away with something, I sometimes pretend not to notice because I'm too tired.
10. I secretly wish our one last goldfish in our huge tank will die so I can take down the whole thing.
11. When the tooth fairy forgets to get some cash out of the bank, I borrow some money from their piggy banks and put it under their pillow.
Aren't these hillarious? It's a Mom thing!

We're having a fun weekend!
I went to the temple yesterday with some of my friends and had a great time. I went early and got back by 11:30am. Then I went to the church where they were having a primary activity, and it was our week to help clean the chapel. Then I did all my grocery shopping for the next two weeks, which basically left me with no energy left, but I just couldn't go to bed with a dirty house, so I was up til 12:30am cleaning. I'm tired today. It's sad how I don't want to go to church when I am tired and worn out from a tough week, but I'm glad I went. We have such an awesome ward, it's the best! I'm always spiritually renewed when I get to go and associate with everyone there who are trying to live the gospel. It's one of the best places on earth to be.
PRAYERS NEEDED...our little Rusty is going to get his tumor removed this Thursday, so please pray for him!!! I will keep you posted when it is over.
I love you all... Have a great week!

Excited about tonight...
We are going out to dinner somewhere, so you can bet I'm gonna break out the ramen noodles and mac-n-cheese before we take the kids to the church. That's a meal that they LOVE and we can't bear to lower ourselves enough to eat it, so it turns out good for all.
I hope you all have a great Valentine's day. I know I will because I'm married to the Love of My Life. Sorry, I'm going into Sappy mode here, but I just have to say that I'm so proud of my Man. He is a real man who takes awesome care of me and our kids. He goes out every day and slays dragons for us, and I'm so blessed to have him in my life. He has always been kind, considerate and respectful in our relationship, and I can honestly say that after 10 + years I'm still TOTALLY in love with him. I will thank the Lord forever for leading me to such a good catch, who turned out to be more than I was even hoping for in a lot of ways. That's proof to me that God knows us better than we know ourselves, and knows what we need in this life. I have to smile every day knowing how lucky I am, and what really makes me smile is realizing that...
The best is yet to come.

Hello Ya'll
Mary LOVES Rusty. She shares a room with him, and he couldn't ask for a better roommate. She always makes sure to be quiet if he is trying to sleep and she plays little games with him when he wakes up. She's such a great sister! Mary lost her first two teeth on Friday. She was so excited! Rusty is growing 4 new teeth on top (yeah, all at once, poor kid).
Have a good week everyone! Keep on truckin' along.

The best rolls ever
LION HOUSE DINNER ROLLS
2 cups warm water (115-120 deg.)
2/3 cup powdered milk
1/4 cup sugar
4 1/2 tsp yeast (2 pkgs.)
2 tsp salt
1/3 cup shortening (or butter)
2 eggs
5 to 5 1/2 cups flour (I use whole wheat for 1 or 2 of the cups of flour)
Mix all ingredients together adding flour gradually until moist but not sticky (You have to knead the dough for about 10 minutes to activate gluten). Put it in a greased bowl and flip it so the top has oil on it. Rise for 45 min. in a warm place.
Then, divide the dough in half, rolling out 1/2 the dough at a time into a rope.
