This week for the Jones'
Here's our little Rusty. He did just fine through his surgery. He's home and laughing, so we couldn't be happier! Thank you for all your prayers.

Here's Jr. with his broken arm. He broke it last week, and I didn't think it was anything serious until yesterday when I got to lookin at it, and noticed it was pretty swollen. Yeah, I'm mother of the year for that one. Live and learn I guess. Oh, he was so excited that he could still play his gameboy. LOL

The kids helped me plant some things outside.

We planted a blueberry bush, raspberry bush, blackberry bush, and grape vine. Mary loved to help me.

Here is a video of the bird that sounds like an alarm clock outside our bedroom window in the mornings. How annoying!
This is what Sam got to do this week.
Love to all my family and friends. Have a good weekend.

Homemade spanish rice
I've always wanted to learn how to cook spanish rice. This recipe looks like it would taste good. The girl on the video is kinda sleazy looking LOL, but the rice looks good.
Homemade Refried Beans
Here is a link for a video on how to make AUTHENTIC mexican refried beans! It looks so good. I researched a little bit, and I think it would taste even better if you add a jalepeno pepper (whole, seeded) and a couple whole cloves garlic to the beans when you add the bacon. Beans are CHEAP and very good for you! They are pretty easy to cook too. Let me know what you think.

Here's help for our tough economic times :)
I'm going to post some recipes for cheap stuff to make for dinner in the next few days...this one sounds good.

We had a visitor today
My step brother Donald came and spent the day with us today. He's from St. Louis area. We had a good time getting to know eachother. It was the first time we met. I'm glad to know him. He was really nice. He listens to Glenn Beck just like I do, so we talked a bit about what's going on in the world. It was so nice to have someone to talk to, it reminded me of when my Dad was here last fall for a couple of weeks.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JR!!!

My baby is now 9! I love you, happy birthday little darlin'!
I can't believe that 9 years ago today, I started out on my mission of motherhood. It's been the greatest gift of my life aside from becoming the wife of my eternal sweetheart! It has been such an honor and privilege to be your Mom! You're the best kid any Mom could ask for! Love you xoxoxoxox

WOW! I have to brag on my awesome nephew!

Josh Fuller, my Brother's son, is the MVP of the whole Idaho State Basketball Tournament! GOOD JOB JOSH!!! We are so proud of you!
This kid is a basketball playin' MACHINE!, and he's only a junior this year. He is 6foot6inches tall (yeah, he's taller than his Dad, which seemed impossible!)
Here's what they said about him on idahosports.com "He carried his team on his back accounting for 65 of his team’s 160 points (40.6 %). He also led his team in rebounds with 30, and he shot and made more free throws. In fact, in the second game he was 15/18 from the foul line. And the bad news for all of his opponents….he will be back next year for his senior season. Congrads, Josh on a great tournament."

What the heck...I have nothing to blog about
I usually have tons to blog about, but for some reason, I have writers block this week. I have been busy, maybe that's why I haven't been blogging. Over the weekend, Jared was in St. Louis learning new programming techniques at a "geek conference" as I like to call it, while I was home with 6 kids. We had a BLAST! I invited the Egbert kids, and the Asbury kid (ha ha) from our ward, and they all had fun exploring our back yard, jumping on the trampoline and then eating a bunch of stuff while watching T.V., and playing hide and go seek...meanwhile I was able to sit and prepare my lesson for Sunday school. The kids were pretty well behaved at church, which was surprising to me.
I spent Monday cleaning up the wreckage, and swabbing the deck.
Then Tuesday and Wednesday I was out cleaning a vacant house that is getting ready to go on the market, which is a hobby/sweet money making deal for me.
So Today was spent pretty much swabbing the deck around here (again). I am still trying to face up to the fact that my work will NEVER be done. I keep trying to catch up, and never can do it all, though sometimes I come close when I pull an "all nighter".

Rusty's new surgery date
We got a new date for Rusty's surgery. It will be done on March 27. He has to get two physicals before they will do the actual surgery. I guess that's good that they are going to do blood work and everything to make sure he is healthy enough to go through this right now. I'm sure he will be fine.
