Hello People

I have been busy playing catch up in my housework so it will be spic-n-span when Lisa's bunch arrive. I am so excited for Thanksgiving. Weezie and I are going all out on the food this year. We even made plans for a cool lime cheesecake and many pie varieties! OOOh-la-la. I'm going to pig out, then I'll start a diet again later some day down the road. haha

I forgot to mention that I took Rusty in for his appointment with the dermatologist. He actually has what is called a pilomatrixoma, which is a benign epithelial tumor which is common in children under 10 years of age. It's usually a hair folicle that starts growing a calcified mass of tissue in it. The good news: It's not painful or harmful to him at all. The bad news: He will have to have it removed because this won't go away on it's own. We are waiting to hear back from the Doctor (she was going to talk to a group of doctors about it) to see when would be the appropriate time to get it removed. I'm not in any hurry. I'm just glad it's not something worse. Here is a picture where you can see it. It's just on the left side of his forehead. It's not very big. I have been having a lot of fun calling him little pet names like: knobby-knot, Mr. Lumpy, bunkles, knuckle-oma, etc. LOL

Nothing else is new with me. I'm waiting for Weezie and that's about it. Oh, and I can't wait to see her cutie kiddos. I love playing the "fun aunt" role. You guys know how I am. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Sorry I've been so out of touch!

I've been doing so many things that I haven't had time to write! The last couple of weeks have been so busy for me. I helped Sue move, then I was over there cleaning out her house a lot last week, then I had a bunch of work to do to get my own house cleaned up. I had a disaster area around here and it took a few days of solid work to get it all clean. I also cleaned my yard of all the leaves that had fallen down. I ended up with 13 bags full of sticks, twigs, leaves and nuts. There was a huge crop of hickory nuts this year. There was so many that the squirrels couldn't eat them all. We gathered several bags full and we will have fun eating them through the winter. They taste a lot like pecans, only they are a little smaller. They are delicious. I painted my kitchen yesterday, as well as my bathroom and my bedroom. I basically painted all day long. Now I have a mountain of laundry to do from two days of neglect.
We had the missionaries over for dinner tonight. Jared grilled some chicken and pork chops. We love having them over. We have been having several people over lately and it is nice to have friends.
Jared and I went bowling last Saturday night and I won the game...thankyouverymuch. I won't mention our lame scores, but lets just say that neither of us broke 100. haha
I also found out this week that little Rusty has a hemangioma on the left side of his forehead, which means that it is a blood vessel that is overgrown. It looks like a purplish lump under the skin about the size of a pea. The doctor said it would probably go away on its own within 5-10 years. Otherwise there is surgery or laser therapy. Poor baby boy. It doesn't hurt him though, so that is good. I am taking him to the dermatologist next week to confirm that it really is a hemangioma and not something else entirely. My life is so busy! I hope everyone else is well and good. Love and hugs

I'm gonna be sick

I was cleaning Susan's old house out today and when I went to put the kids in the car and leave, I saw that the neighbor next door (an old man) was cleaning his front windows COMPLETELY NAKED! He didn't even stop when he saw me and the kids out in Sue's driveway. I went to the gas station and called the police on him. I swear, you never know what kind of PERVERTS you're gonna run into. Now I'm scarred for life! LOL

I got tagged

So I guess this is just 7 interesting or wierd little known facts about myself.

a. I didn't like gravy when I was little, in fact there was not much I did like to eat besides campbells chicken noodle soup and taco bell.

2. I loved having dogs as a child, but now I don't like dogs,.. they are too much work for me, and they have gross germs.

d. I always thought as a child that if I would end up somewhere other than living under a bridge, I'd be happy. I am happy. Very happy.

Next. I'm not a person who likes to take medication. I can do without the laxatives, nyquil, muscle relaxers, etc. I just like to stay away from all that as much as possible.

6. Sour cream is white and comes in a tub. What does this mean? Don't ask me. My brain is fried by having 6 children.

7. I fainted in sex-ed my freshman year in high school. Talk about embarrasing.

8. I take my whole life very seriously, even though I love to act goofy a lot on the surface.

This week for the Jones'

Well, this week has been kinda boring. We had the usual things going on, like Ballet, Tumbling, and shorin-ryu martial arts. The kids are happy to have something extra to do. We also started piano lessons twice a week starting about 3 weeks ago. I'm trying to be consistent on that. This week started off with me having an upset stomach I think it was food poisoning. I hate it when I get that... it's so painful, so I didn't get much done on Monday. Then every day after that I was at Susan's house helping her pack and clean up etc. and eventually on Friday she moved! She called me from Pennsylvania in their new apartment this afternoon. They made it safely there and she loves it. It looks like the pictures of New England in the fall she said. Sounds great, except for the fact that she won't see my smiling face all the time. Too bad for her. hahaha and too bad for me too. I miss her already. I'm thankful for the year that she was here. It was great to feel the closeness of having family nearby. More than that though, our sisterly friendship grew by leaps and bounds, and I hope that we can stay close though the miles will keep us physically apart.
In other news, I spent about 4 hours finishing the twilight saga's last book "Breaking dawn" today. I know, that's bad to do on Sunday, but I couldn't help it! I don't have time to mess around this week! I've got to get some housework done or my whole family will go to pot. Already I'm struggling just to have pajamas and underware in their dressers, and I can't waste time having my whole mind consumed with what will happen next in a teen fiction novel! I have to conserve my mental energies.
By the way (Julie!) It was so good. It really was a good series if you are into that sort of thing, and I really enjoyed the storyline and the diversion it offered me for the past few weeks. It was basically a fairy tale in that it offered a story about a "happily ever after". I like that. Now it's back to reality for me. I'm just a frumpy old housewife and mother of 6 brats! I wouldn't have it any other way. Man, though, that series really did suck me in. I was O.C.D.ing it bad! You should have seen me sitting on the couch with a bowl of ice cream in one hand, a book in the other hand, greasy, stringy hair and I just couldn't think of anything but that book! haha I really realized that I can't let myself do that ever again! Somebody's got to be the responsible one, and that's always Good ol' me!
The kids enjoyed a free for all on their halloween treat bags. It's pretty much all gone. I'm of the opinion that they can go ahead and eat it all and get it overwith in a couple of days. That's how I always do it. Glad it's over now.
Monday morning, I got a pile of chores waiting for me, so wish me good luck with that. So open all the windows if the weather's nice, and crank up the music and pull on some rubber gloves. I'll be thinking of all of you. Good luck on a new week! Let's all be of good cheer! Love to all.
