Congratulations!

My Dear Mom found a wonderful man! His name is Frank, and he is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She really did well for herself, and they are as happy as a couple of teenagers. I couldn't be happier for them! I thank the Lord that my Mom could be so blessed. It has been a bright spot in all our lives that this happened.

Here they are going to the rodeo for my Mom's birthday. Don't they look adorable? Frank is from Australia, and he used to be in the Navy. He has a really cool accent. He's very affectionate, which is just what my Mom needs. It couldn't have been a better match! Congratulations!

What's going on?

Mary had to say goodbye to her best friend Lilye who moved to Ohio. She was so sad!

Here comes the wildlife... Rachel found a tiny turtle in our front yard and called him BOB. He was super cute.

There have been many hours spent sitting at the computer playing games. We got Bsecure software so the kids will not view anything inappropriate.

We have fun going to the mall to play. Gord's favorite is the basketball slide.
We've been going to the local library a lot. They have a big fun place for the kids to play inside. They love going there.
That's what we've been doing with our summertime. How 'bout you?

Fun in the Sun

Hey, it's summertime! We hit the beach at Stephen's lake park two days in a row for some good times. We went around 5pm and stayed until 8 or 8:30 when the sun was going down. It was not too hot, and not too busy either. Perfect! The kids had so much fun.

By the time it was over, Isa and Sam were completely tired out and fell asleep watching TV. LOL

Cubs annual fishing trip

Jr. caught one, but Isaac didn't have any good luck...poor little Bub! Good luck next time.

Tommy lost his first tooth!

Isn't he adorable? I love the "kindergarten smile" when they start losing the first few teeth. It makes him look so CUTE!

Yes, this is my husband.

Some people saw me kissing this guy in the parking lot at church and they said they were going to tell my husband! LOL
He looks so much different, it's hard to believe it is him. It was hard for me to get used to at first. Doesn't he look 10 years younger?

Cub Scouts Day Camp 2010

Jr. and Isaac had a lot of fun at day camp. It is during the day for 2 1/2 days. They sure show the boys a good time there. Jared and I were able to be walking leaders on one of the days. It was AWESOME! I really enjoyed volunteering. The boys had a great time.
Isaac on Archery

Jr. and Isaac at the "Marines", this was their favorite by far.

Our happenings this week...

Jared got to go to a cardinals game in St. Louis this weekend. Carfax chartered 3 big busses that hauled all their employees to the game and back on Thursday. Then on Friday morning Jared headed back to St. Louis to a computer geek conference. It's been a long weekend for me here at home.
Isabella having fun at the sprayground at Stephens lake park. We had so much fun yesterday!
Tommy, Mason and Isa
Rusty Gordie
My little Gord.
And, of course, the Shugies, wearing their shugie visors.
Little Russ couldn't wait to go to the lake. He decided to try on his innertube toy while we were still in the van.
We went to Bass Pro yesterday before the lake to pick up some supplies.

They had free fishing for kids, but unfortunately, no bites.
Mary with her new american girl doll "Lucy". (Yard sale $10)!
Bath time fun. Russell, Mason, Samuel, and Thomas.
Rusty has been pushing around this yellow tonka truck. He rams it into my ankles all the time. I was standing by the stove making dinner when I felt the strike behind me on my ankles. Ouch! Jared called over to me, laughing, "Don't you hate it when he does that?" Then, Jared came over to the stove to help with dinner and Rusty struck him from behind as hard as he could! Satisfaction. LOL
My sweet stay at home buddies looking out the window on a rainy day. I love being a Mom.

I got released from my calling of teaching the 16 and 17 year olds at church today. I was very sad to let go. I love each one of those kids. It was a pleasure teaching them. I got called to be a primary teacher, though I haven't found out what age group I'll be teaching yet. I can't wait! I love smaller children (can you guess why?)!

St. Louis Temple

We got to go to the temple together!!! I am so glad. We usually take turns because it is so hard to leave the kids. It takes us two hours each way, plus the time for the session. Thanks for babysitting Weezie! We had a great time. It was so nice to feel the peace that is in the house of the Lord.
